ELITE PERFORMANCE
RETURN TO SPORT
Our physical therapists have expertise dealing with a number of common athletic injuries, from torn or partially torn ACLs, MCLs, LCLs, UCLs and rotator cuffs to ankle fractures and sprains, back injuries, Achilles ruptures, broken wrists and more. For example, we have worked with professional and collegiate pitchers post-Tommy John surgery, collegiate and high school soccer, basketball and lacrosse players and skiers post-ACL repair and CrossFit and fitness athletes post-shoulder surgery. While we know you are eager to get back to your sport, it is imperative that we not only get you back to playing and competing better than before, but to ensure that you are prepared physically and mentally to return and decrease the risk of re-injury.
To come back faster and stronger, it is important to get to physical therapy as soon as possible after an injury, including prior to surgery. We work with athletes to prepare their bodies for surgery, setting them up for a more successful rehab process and return to sport. Our therapists are well versed in return to sport criteria for specific injuries and benchmarks that need to be reached prior to returning. We also understand movement and the importance of moving throughout the rehabilitation and strength re-building process. This includes working on alternative movements while protecting the injured area and progressively strengthening and loading the injured area once the time is right. As athletes ourselves, we understand the movements that we are asking you to perform and how they relate to your successful return.
“It’s not about what you have or don’t have, it’s about what you make of what you’ve got.”
— Derek Jeter
ATHLETE ASSESSMENTS &
PERFORMANCE TRAINING
You do not have to have an acute injury to see us. Whether you have a nagging issue, movement limitation, have seen stagnation in your progress or just want to get better, faster, stronger, we are here to help you optimize your performance. We assess athlete speed, agility, movement and mobility to identify areas needing improvement. We then tailor strength and performance programs to each athlete based on their assessment and their sport.
This may include physical therapy, a combination of physical therapy with movement, mobility and strength training or a performance and strength training program without therapy. Our therapists and trainers are movement specialists who not only help to rehabilitate injured athletes, but help athletes to understand their movements and bodies to help prevent injuries, become more efficient with their movements, and increase their mobility, strength and athleticism through functional and sport-specific movement, mobility and strength training.
Are you ready to optimize your performance? Let us show you how!
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”
